As the summer months wind down, and the “Sigma Season” returns to full swing, another effort of the Delaware Sigmas will take center stage. The Lambda Delta Sigma Chapter will be connecting with the brothers of the Delta Gamma Sigma Chapter (Dover) for the Sigma Scholarship Golf Classic on September 28th. While both chapters have put on successful golf outings in years past, the chapters, in the spirit of authentic brotherhood, recognize that they are “Better Together” and have been making the event a collaborative effort since 2018.
The event, which features attractive and valuable amenities, benefits the Sigma Outreach and Education Initiative and Sigma Cares Foundation, Inc., the philanthropic organizations sponsored by the respective chapters. Over the past year, the organizations combined to provide over $10,000 in scholarships to high school seniors throughout the state of Delaware. These efforts, and many of the organizations’ key community initiatives are made possible largely through the proceeds of the Golf Classic.
Will you join in? The event takes place on Saturday, September 28th at Maple Dale Country Club (Dover, DE). Registration begins at 11:00 am with a Shotgun Start at 12:30 pm.
