As has become a tradition, the Lambda Delta Sigma Chapter continues to do its part to ensure a commitment to serving the New Castle County community.
On Saturday, October 26th, before heading to the tailgate at the University of Delaware, brothers joined to complete their Adopt-a-Highway project on their well-traveled section of Route 40 in Bear. The Chapter worked with tenacity and efficiency to help keep this stretch presentable and clean.

On Sunday, November 24th, the Chapter partnered with Sorors of the Epsilon Rho Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta and partner chapters of the National Pan-Hellenic Council to pack and prepare over 300 food baskets to families in need. Each chapter, through donations and “sweat equity,” gathered enough of each item to make the process seamless.
Part two of the operation, known throughout the community, is the collaboration with the NOR Enterprises Turkey Drive, which operated its’ 37th iteration this year. On Tuesday, November 26th, an NPHC-led contingent met at Compton Towers to distribute. Through this effort, the NPHC organizations were able to ensure a proper Thanksgiving feast for over 300 families.
