INTRODUCING THE FALL 2019 INITIATES

(L-R): Brothers Joel Riley, Elijah Jolly, and Jordan Wynn

IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ready, Set, Grow!
In an encouraging turn of events, the Lambda Delta Sigma chapter followed a dynamic intake class with another talented group. On Sunday, December 1st, three new members were welcomed into the Fraternity. These three men, Joel Riley, Elijah Jolly, and Jordan Wynn, bring unique gifts as the chapter looks to press toward its 20th Anniversary this coming March.

Brother Riley, a Wilmington University alum, has diverse experience in community leadership. Joel has held numerous positions in the corporate and non-profit sectors, and his presence and talent has been a constant for Boys and Girls Clubs since the 1980s. Brother Riley serves as Co-Chair of the Deacons Ministry at Alpha Worship Center (New Castle, DE) and is currently employed at the Department of Health and Social Services (Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health) as a Fiscal Management Analyst.

Brother Jolly, recently relocated to the area, sees this as the culmination of a long-aspired goal. Elijah, a native of Brooklyn, NY, matriculated at Kingsborough Community College, Limestone University, and Virginia Union University. Brother Jolly has professional experience in both Corrections and Education. Elijah, once a college basketball player, has coaching involvement at various levels, including high school, middle school, and AAU. Brother Jolly is a dedicated mentor, priding himself on helping over 20 young men matriculate into universities through his partnership with the mentorship program, “BUCKETFAM.”

Brother Wynn, a two-time graduate of the University of Delaware, has brought his unique talents to the Chapter. Jordan, a Structural Engineer for the US Department of Defense, is representative of a paradigm shift and is working to develop the presence of underrepresented populations in his field. Brother Wynn, an ardent advocate of STEM educational programming, has experience in mentoring and development programs, taking immense pride in his work with the National Society of Black Engineers. Jordan is committed to service—in all avenues of his life!
